Fearphobia and Using Your Magic Wand

The wonderland of the mind functions in a world of polarity.
In order for something to exist, it creates its shadow, its opposite. For example, if we lived in pitch black darkness, and that was all we knew, we would not know what darkness was. But if someone struck a match we would all say, "Wow, what an amazing thing, we can see!"

But then if the match went out, we would say "Booo! bring it back, I don't like the darkness!". We were all fine with the darkness, until we had something to compare it to.

There is a lot of focus on "Being Positive" in recent philosophy. But as long as we are stuck in the mental idea of this, we cannot achieve it. There is a focus on "Coming from Love" but as long as we are doing it in order to escape our fear, this is impossible. Why? Because we are stuck in the mental concept of things, and our minds are fear driven. Why? Because man kind has lived for millennia, driven forward by fear.

Picture it this way: you are standing in the center of a see-saw (or teeter-totter). When you try to go to one end, your weight lifts the opposite end, when you try to go the other way, the same occurs. This is the world of the mind. A world that bounces us too and fro and we don't get very far.

But what if we step back. What if we could quiet our ambitions enough to look at it from a different perspective. What if we back up slowly, until the see-saw was a small stick that we can pick up, one hand on either end.

What if we knew that we could chose either end of the polarity and anywhere in-between. No fear. No judgement. No hurry. What if we held the entirety of a thing within our grasp and felt completely free to experiment. What if we chose the dark end of the stick. We delved into the darkest darkness made it our friend, loving it, knowing that it made the light possible.

When you can see fear as a simple vibration that is only relative to other vibrations, you can grasp the dark end of your stick without fear of threat. When there is not any fear of fear, you are off the teeter-totter. You are free to chose from the spectrum of life. The more one is willing to appreciate the dark for giving birth to the light, the brighter your wand will glow, and there is nothing you cannot be, have, experience, if you chose.

This is a crazy world, as we globalize, we see more and more of the darkest corners of it. So, for me, when I look at my life today, I am of course grateful for the people and things I have, they are all wonderful. But most of all, I am grateful that I'm not so afraid. I am most grateful that I have the courage to see what's really been happening in the world: I have been humbled by what others have survived through, and it inspires me beyond anything. The darkness I've seen just lights my wand even brighter, and I know they can see it from where they are, their guiding star.

Is the cup half empty or half full?
It is completely full:
half with liquid and half with air.

"My heart wells up with the beauty of it all
And I cry, with pain, with joy, all are one. My Cup Overflows."

  1. Wow. You are starting to sound like Christ. Christ advocated his followers to take the low end of the see-saw to generate a world of forgiveness and love. Gandhi applied this philosophy with great results. He liberated his people from the English. By lowering the height of the see-saw, the differences are diminished and people can live in a more equal society. It is very impressive that you are able to understand this concept at such an early age and without a teacher. I'm very happy for you. "The treasure is in the mind which is between the soul and the spirit." -Christ

  2. Aliza - this is the best thing I've seen so far from you! Very wise... Thank you! I would only add that freedom is not absolute and to live into that reality is actually liberating in a paradoxical kind of way.
